Inter’s bid to sign Romelu Lukaku suffered a hammer blow this evening as Paulo Dybala’s agent flew to hold talks with Manchester United.

Juventus want to swap Dybala with Lukaku and began talks with United over the players’ respective valuations this week.

Dybala’s desire to remain in Turin is the biggest stumbling block to any deal, and thus represents Inter’s only hope of regaining ground.

The fact his agent has flown to Manchester on his behalf to discuss personal terms, though, appears highly indicative.

Juventus and United will be well on course to finalise their swap deal if Dybala reaches an economic agreement with United tonight.

La Joya is due to return to preseason training on Thursday before meeting Maurizio Sarri to discuss his future, but the scenario could change very quickly depending on developments from England.

Juventus first made their move for Lukaku a month ago but most onlookers dismissed it as an attempt to disrupt Inter’s transfer business.

It appears the Bianconeri have every intention of going through with this transfer, though, which would create huge embarrassment for Inter and Antonio Conte.
