Fiorentina Close To Agreeing Personal Terms With Inter’s Borja Valero

Fiorentina are close to agreeing personal terms with Inter’s outgoing midfielder Borja Valero, according to FcInterNews.it.

Head coach Vincenzo Montella and sporting director Daniele Prade want to bring him back to Florence, offering him a three-year deal worth €1.5 million annually.

Valero currently earns €3 million net with Inter, but his contract expires next summer and an agreement with his former club is ‘close’.

Inter are not prepared to release the Spaniard for free, though, instead asking Fiorentina to pay €3 million for their former player.

Rocco Commisso agreed a deal this week to sign Sassuolo’s Kevin-Prince Boateng for €1 million, and the Viola’s new owner does not want to spend any more than that on a 34-year-old.

Negotiations between Valero and the two clubs are intensifying, though, which means it’s more than possible the deal goes through.

Valero made 27 league appearances for Inter last season as Luciano Spalletti’s side secured a fourth-place finish in Serie A.
