Juventus could complete a deal to sign Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United in the next 48 hours, according to Libero.
Inter have been following the Belgian since the start of the summer, but their inability to meet United’s €85 million asking price has allowed the Bianconeri to overtake them.
The Nerazzurri have already offered €65 million and would be willing to make that €70 million plus €5 million in bonuses.
Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio do not have time on their side, though, as Juve and United discuss a swap deal involving Lukaku and Paulo Dybala.
United want the deal done before Thursday with the Premier League’s transfer window due to close on 8 August.
Libero this morning reported the clubs had already reached an agreement, but this seems unlikely given that no other source has echoed these claims since.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left Lukaku out of United’s squad for their final preseason friendly against Kristiansund on Thursday, but it is Dybala’s decision which will be key to the outcome of this deal.
La Joya has so far given the impression he does not want a move to the Premier League, which could scupper the talks and give Inter a second chance.
