Inter are not completely out of the race to sign Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United just yet, according to the BBC.

United met Paulo Dybala’s agent in England tonight to discuss a deal for La Joya, who would join the Premier League club in a swap deal from Juventus.

Inter remain strongly interested in Lukaku but they have not come close to meeting United’s valuation of the striker.

“It is understood negotiations for Dybala are at a very early stage and there is no guarantee United will make an offer for the Argentina forward, or that he would welcome a move to Old Trafford,” Simon Stone reported this evening.

“However, it is understood Juventus are willing to let Dybala leave as they are keen on Lukaku.”

Beppe Marotta was intercepted by reporters earlier today and assured there were ‘no updates’ regarding the Nerazzurri’s transfer activity.

Antonio Conte will resume preseason training with the first team at Appiano Gentile tomorrow, but it seems neither Lukaku nor Edin Dzeko will join him there soon.
