Radja Nainggolan Still Fighting To Save Inter Career But Antonio Conte Seems Unmovable

Radja Nainggolan has still not given up on earning a miraculous second chance at Inter under Antonio Conte, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The midfielder will resume training with the rest of the first team tomorrow and wants to convince Conte he can play an important role this season.

Conte seems unshakable and will again exclude both Nainggolan and Mauro Icardi from Sunday’s International Champions Cup fixture against Tottenham.

Inter’s new boss has already confirmed in public that the Ninja is not part of his plans, making it almost impossible to envisage a change of heart.

Nainggolan is being linked with a surprise return to Cagliari but the Rossoblu’s owner Tommaso Giulini played down the reports last night.

Giulini described the rumours as ‘fantasy football’, albeit he admitted Cagliari would be the most welcoming Serie A club for the Belgian should he leave Inter.

Talks appear to be ongoing between the clubs as they seek a formula which satisfies everyone, and this alone would appear to provide further evidence that Nainggolan’s Inter career is over.
