Mauro Icardi ‘Will Agree To Leave Inter Eventually’, Italian Pundit Biasin Assures

Mauro Icardi still hopes to earn a second chance at Inter but will eventually accept he must leave, according to a journalist close to the striker.

Fabrizio Biasin writes for Libero and said the Nerazzurri’s former captain is not speaking in public because ‘he can’t’.

Napoli and Juventus have been on Maurito’s tracks for some time now, although the Bianconeri now seem destined to sign Romelu Lukaku instead.

“Icardi wants to fight for his position at Inter but it’s practically impossible he’ll succeed,” Biasin told Radio Marte today.

“Mauro is an Interista but sooner or later his resistance will disappear. Antonio Conte and Steven Zhang have been very clear on this matter.”

Conte will almost certainly miss out on his first-choice target in attack now, with Lukaku moving ever closer to his former club.

Biasin agreed Inter’s new boss will not be happy with how the club’s transfer activity is going, but refused to lay into them for now.

“If Juventus really are interested in Lukaku then Inter must have thought of a Plan B behind Lukaku,” he suggested.

Biasin also revealed Inter once made an approach for Napoli forward Jose Maria Callejon, but made it clear Aurelio De Laurentiis was not at all interested in selling the Spaniard.

He added: “He’s the player every coach and every dressing room loves. You don’t often notice him but he’s always useful.”
