Inter Target Romelu Lukaku To Stay At Man Utd If Juventus Move Falls Through

Inter’s hopes of signing Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United have ended, according to The Sun in England.

Lukaku is not yet certain of joining Juventus because Paulo Dybala needs to accept a move in the other direction first.

However, if La Joya rejects United’s advances Lukaku will stay in Manchester, rather than joining Antonio Conte in Milan instead.

Inter’s last offer of £54 million (€60 million) was declined by United and the Nerazzurri have not submitted an improved bid since.

Conte made it clear to Inter’s hierarchy this summer that Lukaku was his most important transfer target, as he bid to revamp the squad for the new season.

He is now certain to miss out on the Belgian international, though, and could yet face the ignominy of seeing him join his former club instead.

Lautaro Martinez is the only centre-forward available to Conte as he prepares for Sunday’s International Champions Cup clash with Tottenham.

Inter are in dire need of another striker but the new Serie A campaign is now only three weeks away.
