Inter secured two more summer signings last night as they completed deals for Alexis Sanchez and Cristiano Biraghi, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.
Sanchez will join on a season-long loan and is expected to arrive in Milan this afternoon, after Inter and Manchester United reached an agreement over the forward’s wages.
Biraghi will sign on a loan with an option to buy for €12 million and is completing a medical in Milan now, after which he will immediately begin training with Antonio Conte.
Dalbert is due to move in the opposite direction, although Fiorentina will not have an option to buy when his loan deal expires.
Inter expected to close the deal for Sanchez in short order last week, but talks dragged on over how the clubs would divide up the €12 million Sanchez is due between September and May.
The Nerazzurri have agreed to pay €5 million towards his salary, moving them much closer to the 50% contribution United initially wanted.
Sanchez helped the clubs reach their deal by agreeing to cut another €500,000 from his annual wage, while Inter conceded ground by dropping their request to have an option to buy.
They will need to resume negotiations with United next summer if they wish to sign El Nino Maravilla on a permanent deal.
Conte now has two players in Sanchez and Lautaro who can fill in for Romelu Lukaku if and when the Belgian isn’t available, but he may ask for one final signing in attack.
SPAL striker Andrea Petagna could represent a last-minute option for Inter if they want another understudy to Lukaku.
Biraghi will sign a five-year deal with Inter worth €2 million annually after tax.
The Italy international’s arrival from Fiorentina could be officially announced by the club later today.
