Alexis Sanchez’s loan move to Inter will not include any option to buy because the Nerazzurri could not agree a fee with Manchester United, according to Sport Mediaset.
The clubs finally reached an agreement over how to divide up the forward’s annual salary on Tuesday, which Sanchez agreed to cut from €12 million to €11 million, with Inter paying €5 million and United subsidising the remaining €6 million.
But while Inter wanted their option to buy for Sanchez to be fixed at €15 million, United wanted €20 million for a future permanent move.
Sanchez arrived in Milan on Wednesday afternoon and cannot wait to begin his new adventure back in Serie A.
The Chilean is expected to complete a medical between tonight and tomorrow morning, before starting training with Antonio Conte.
Conte will have the chance to include Sanchez in his match-day squad for Sunday’s second Serie A fixture against Cagliari, although a lot will depend on the player’s fitness levels.
