Atletico Madrid, PSG & Monaco Hoping For Mauro Icardi Loan Deal

Inter are considering sending Mauro Icardi on loan to a club outside Italy, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco are all interested in signing the striker, who has little more than 72 hours to make a decision on his future.

Juventus remain in the hunt to sign Icardi, but the Bianconeri have still not made any kind of offer to Inter for their former captain.

Napoli were reported not to have lost hope either, but reports elsewhere have since suggested they are finalising a deal for free agent Fernando Llorente.

Inter have persuaded Icardi to start evaluating the idea of a loan move, but they are only prepared to send him abroad and would need to extend his contract for another year first.

The Nerazzurri are eager to get Maurito out of their dressing room for this season and hope a positive season elsewhere might increase interest in him for next summer.

Atletico are pursuing Icardi after failing to secure a deal for Valencia forward Rodrigo and are thought to be favourites at present.

PSG need to complete the sale of Neymar before they can make any move, while Monaco are at a disadvantage because they do not play in the Champions League.

Monaco’s management reiterated their interest to Inter during yesterday’s Champions League group stage draw in the principality.

It remains unlikely Icardi will join up with Leonardo Jardim’s side, but a transfer outside Italy suddenly appears to be a more realistic option.
