Dalbert has admitted he didn’t fulfill his potential at Inter after completing a season-long loan move to Fiorentina.
The Brazilian was presented to the media by his new club on Friday and thanked the Viola’s hierarchy for putting their faith in him.
Dalbert promised Fiorentina supporters he wanted to ‘give them joy’ this year, before returning to his unsuccessful two years in Milan.
“I’ve always settled in quickly with new teams but it can be a bit more difficult when you’re adapting to Italian football,” the full-back told reporters.
“I’m aware I didn’t give my best at Inter, but I’m also confident I can do well here.
“I don’t want to speak much about my experience at Inter, now I’m concentrated on the project here at Fiorentina. The coach has given me a lot of confidence and his style of play influenced my decision to come here.”
Dalbert joined Inter in a €21 million deal from Nice in 2017, but made just 26 appearances in all competitions.
