Inter CEO Beppe Marotta believes that the Nerazzurri have been very clear with former captain Mauro Icardi, when speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

“We have always been clear before and we are clear today. We will also handle this situation with calmness. However today I think it is correct to focus on those who are on the pitch. I am sure we will face an opponent that is fired up.”

“It is not a question that needs to be resolved, it is a management issue that in my opinion is very ordinary in football. And we will manage it with maximum transparency, as we always have.”

“If Icardi stays? If that happens we will be even more direct [in our communication].”

In conclusion Marotta underlined that he believed Inter would replicate the great match they had against Lecce.

“I expect something great from this match, I am sure of it. We will play a great match, replicating what we did last match.”
