Inter manager Antonio Conte addressed his squad yesterday in training following Tuesday night’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Slavia Prague in the opening round of the Champions League group stage according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
Inter needed an injury time equaliser from midfielder Nicolo Barella to secure a point against the Czech opposition and Conte spent Tuesday night at Inter’s Angelo Moratti Sports Centre training ground in order to immediately start working on analysing what went wrong.
In yesterday’s address to the squad, Conte insisted that the mistakes were made due to the team having the wrong attitude from kick-off.
He made it clear that he was not happy about the lack of aggression and intensity in the Nerazzurri’s performance and that he will not accept a soft and passive approach going forward.
He also reminded the team that just because they have won all three games in the league so far does not mean they are instantly a great team.
