Legendary Italian manager Marcello Lippi has shared his views on the early season showings in Serie A and why he thinks it has been like this.

“It has been a good season, there have been so many goals scored, perhaps because the defences have not yet got themselves into the best of shapes,” he said in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

Lippi, who is currently in charge of the Chinese national team, then shared his views on Napoli and whether he thinks they can contend with Juventus and Inter, who are the majority of the media’s favourites to win the title come May next year.

Inter are currently top of the table, Juventus are second whilst Napoli are down in fourth, four points off of Juventus and six off of Inter.

“Napoli is ready to fight for the title. This year Napoli has a bit of everything and will fight with Juventus and Inter, who are two very strong teams in their own right.”
