Inter defender Diego Godin took to social media yesterday to celebrate Uruguay’s 1-0 victory over Peru in a friendly match in Montevideo.
The former Atletico Madrid defender played the full 90 minutes for his national team as they cruised to a victory thanks to an early goal from Brian Rodriguez.
The 33-year-old has made 132 caps for Uruguay since his debut in 2005, representing them in three different World Cups in that time.
Godin posted a photo of the squad on Instagram with the caption: “A good game, which leaves us feeling positive for the future. And thanks above all to all the fans who came to the stadium despite the bad weather.”
