Inter & AC Milan Respond To Public Interest Declaration In New Stadium: “We Reserve The Right To Assess The Conditions”

In a press release posted on the website dedicated to the new stadium project, Inter and AC Milan have responded to the news that the municipal council of Milan have declared a public interest in the project.

The two clubs presented the plans of the Populous group as well as a joint bid from Cmr Sportium and architect Davide Manica back in September for the new stadium and the city council declared the public interest following a council meeting earlier on today.

“In relation to today’s resolution of the City Council, which recognises the public interest in the proposal presented by AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano, the Clubs reserve the right to analyse in detail the act and assess whether
the conditions set are compatible with the feasibility and economic sustainability of the project,” it reads.

It now remains to be seen whether the clubs agree with the conditions set out by the council.
