Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has moved to reassure La Viola fans about the future of Federico Chiesa with the club.

The Fiorentina leadership met with Chiesa’s father and agent Enrico earlier on today to discuss the highly-rated 22-year-old’s future in Florence and Prade admitted to being happy with how the meeting went.

“We talked about many things. I can guarantee you that it was a good meeting. He did not ask us to sell him now or in June,” he told TuttoMercatoWeb.

“Why does he not talk to the press? The right time will come and then Federico will speak but for now, what matters is what is going on on the pitch because we are in trouble. We need him to play and to give the best he can on the pitch. Obviously I cannot speak for Enrico but Federico will speak soon.”

Chiesa has drawn links to both Inter and Juventus among several other clubs in recent months and has scored three goals and tallied four assists in 13 matches this season.
