Former Inter centre back Riccardo Ferri was among the guest speakers at the “Playing at home. The sports venues in a changing city” event that took place earlier on today and he reflected on the feelings he felt whilst playing for Inter, specifically at San Siro.

“I experienced incredible emotions whilst wearing the Inter shirt: it was a dream to wear the shirt. San Siro is a place that can give extraordinary emotions that come to you and accompany you throughout the rest of your life,” he is quoted as saying by Inter’s official club website.

Ferri, who spent 13 years on Inter’s books between 1981 and 1994, was then asked about the back and forth nature of the dialogue relating to the new stadium project jointly proposed by Inter and AC Milan.

“The authorities and the two clubs are working on the project and it is right that they give opinions on the matter.”
