Inter & AC Milan Now Looking At San Donato Area As Possible Destination For New Stadium

Inter and AC Milan officials are examining yet another area where they could possibly carry out their new stadium project according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere della Sera.

The two clubs are looking around at alternative destinations as they continue to struggle to reach an agreement with the Milan city council over the construction of the new stadium and all that will come with it in the San Siro area of the city.

Sesto San Giovanni has been mentioned a lot in recent months as another possible building spot with there being private land available to the clubs there and the report also states that the area of San Donato is also under consideration.

In fact, some informal meetings have already taken place and the idea of building away from San Siro appears to be taking off.

The clubs wish to make a decision quickly whilst the same cannot be said for the city council who seem to be in no hurry at all.

The report goes on to state that the city council have submitted a request to the Italian government to see if San Siro stadium falls under cultural heritage restrictions.
