Inter and Juventus are refusing to give up in their pursuit of Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Both clubs have a long standing interest in the 22-year-old Italian international winger and are paying very close attention to the developments between him and the Viola club.

Yesterday, Fiorentina’s management met with Chiesa’s father, who is also his agent, to discuss his future with the club.

Fiorentina wish to tie Chiesa down to a new contract, which would keep him tied down to the club until the end of the 2022/23 season. It would come with an annual salary of €4 million and include a release clause somewhere between €80-100 million.

Chiesa is keen to find out what alternatives are out there and wants assurances over the direction of the club, who are currently sitting in 10th place in Serie A after 13 games played this season.
