Inter Owe Having Control Of Champions League Destiny To Strikers Lukaku & Lautaro Martinez

Inter owe the fact that they are in control of their Champions League destiny above all to their strike force of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Lukaku put in arguably his best performance in an Inter shirt yet as he provided two assists for his strike partner either side of his first Champions League goal for Inter following his Summer transfer window arrival from Manchester United.

Had it not been for VAR, the 26-year-old Belgian would have had himself a hat-trick in the Swiss capital, where Inter ran out 3-1 winners.

After last night’s exploits, the duo now have a combined goal’s tally of 22 for the season, with each of them having contributed 11 goals across all competitions.

Lukaku has been ever reliable in Serie A having scored 10 of his 11 goals in it whilst Lautaro has spread his goals between Serie A and the Champions League with six and five goals respectively.
