Inter will use invest money raised through the sale of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa into signing Udinese star Rodrigo de Paul according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
Inter had previously had an agreement in place with Flamengo over the Brazilian’s transfer for a sum of €16-18 million but following the 23-year-old’s continued good form and his exploits in the Champions League, Inter have slapped a €35 million price-tag on him.
As per other reports in the media, that is believed to be the same amount of money that Udinese want for Argentine international de Paul.
Inter manager Antonio Conte is desperate for some midfield reinforcements to be brought in come January and is a massive fan of de Paul, whose versatility would undoubtedly be a huge asset to Inter.
This season the 25-year-old has made 11 appearances across all competitions. In 836 minutes on the field, he has contributed one goal and provided two assists for his teammates.
