Speaking to the gathered media on the sidelines of the launch of Puma’s newest boots, Barcelona star Luis Suarez has spoken on Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

It has been heavily speculated both in Spanish and Italian media that Barcelona are looking at Lautaro Martinez with a view to him taking over from Suarez, who is coming up for 33-years-old.

“Would I sign him? It would depend on different circumstances and the needs of Barcelona. Lautaro is an incredible striker and he is playing very well but we cannot forget the fact that he is an Inter player. He is performing at a high level this season,” the Uruguayan international, who has been one of the most prolific strikers of the past decade, explained.

This season 22-year-old Lautaro has made 18 appearances across all competitions. He has scored 11 goals to date, including one against Suarez’s Barcelona in the Champions League group stage.
