Inter coach Antonio Conte tested a three-man attack of Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Sebastiano Esposito against Slavia Prague earlier this week, to great success. A report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper la Repubblica suggests that he may try it again against SPAL today.

The report details how the 50-year-old Italian coach has never been too keen on using a three-man attack, only using it consistently during his time in the Premier League with Chelsea. However, his refined formula has traditionally been using a taller and stronger striker alongside a smaller and quicker one, seen both with Juventus and the Italian national team.

This system was brought along to Inter as well, which has proved to be a great success thanks to the partnership of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez. However, now Conte may consider further testing on the three-man attack by including Esposito as well, following the success earlier this week.
