Inter manager Antonio Conte hopes to recover wing back Antonio Candreva for this weekend’s Serie A match away to Fiorentina according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Candreva appeared to hurt his back during the last league game, a goalless draw with Roma last Friday, and as a result he missed Inter’s Champions League loss to Barcelona last night, a result which eliminated the Nerazzurri from the competition.
Nicolo Barella, Stefano Sensi and Alexis Sanchez will definitely not be back whilst it is also highly unlikely that either Kwadwo Asamoah or Roberto Gaglardini will recover in time for the match in Florence.
The report from the Turin based newspaper states that Conte’s already thin squad could be made even thinner over the coming weeks with no less than five players one booking away from suspension.
Milan Skriniar, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Marcelo Brozovic, Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella are all at risk and are all important players for Conte.
