The sale of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa could help Inter in their pursuit of Arturo Vidal according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Inter are currently in talks with Flamengo over the permanent transfer of Gabigol. The Nerazzurri want in excess of €20 million for the 23-year-old striker and are hopeful that some European clubs could come in for him.
Inter have already offered a loan with option to buy deal worth a total of €12 million for Vidal but it falls short of Barcelona’s demands for him. Inter are in continuous contact with Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich about the possible move and could soon meet again with Barcelona for more talks.
The money raised through Gabigol’s more than likely sale could well help Inter bridge the gap in negotiations with Barcelona, who reportedly want €20 million for the 32-year-old Chilean international, who has made his feelings about his current situation with the club well known in the media.
