Cameron Borthwick-Jackson’s return to Manchester United could help pave the way for Ashley Young to leave and join Inter according to a report from FCInterNews.it.
The Premier League club have recalled the youngster from his loan spell with Tranmere Rovers and with the 22-year-old now back at the club, Manchester United may be more open to allowing Young to leave.
United are understood to have tabled Young a one year contract extension but multiple reports have suggested he has knocked back this offer in favour of joining Inter.
34-year-old Young’s deal with the Red Devils is due to expire at the end of this season and he has found himself frozen out of the team in recent weeks due to the emergence of 19-year-old Brandon Williams.
The 39-time England international has however made 18 appearances across all competitions this campaign, in which he has scored once and tallied a single assist.
