Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa is set to hold crunch talks with Inter management over his future with the club according to a report from Brazilian news outlet Globo Esporte.

People close to the player have told them that the coming days are likely to be decisive as to whether the 23-year-old striker will return to Flamengo or move elsewhere.

Gabigol starred whilst out on loan at the Rio de Janeiro based club during 2019 as he scored 43 goals in 58 appearances across all competitions and also provided 13 assists.

For this reason, Flamengo want to sign him up on a permanent basis but they also reportedly face competition from Premier League side West Ham United for his signature.

Gabigol joined Inter back in 2016 in a circa €30 million deal from Santos but failed to live up to expectations as he was limited to just 10 appearances in a Nerazzurri shirt, in which he scored a single goal.
