Inter have raised their offer for Christian Eriksen to €15 million according to a report on the website of transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla.
The Nerazzurri have been working on bringing in Eriksen on a free transfer at the end of the season but wish to avoid the risk of being caught up in a bidding war for his signature which is why they are trying to land him this month if possible.
Inter had originally not wanted to spend any more than €10 million whilst Spurs continue to demand at least €20 million for the 27-year-old Danish international, who has been with them since 2013.
Tottenham are far from short of money but cannot afford to let a player of Eriksen’s calibre walk for nothing and are seemingly desperate to make sure he leaves for something this window.
Inter have raised their offer due to the fact they will essentially recoup all of the money spent through the sale of striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa, who looks set for a permanent switch to Flamengo.
The report from Pedulla goes on to add that the recent managerial change at Barcelona has reduced the chances of Arturo Vidal leaving the club to join Inter.
