Italian Report Claims Inter & Roma’s Politano & Spinazzola Swap Deal Back On

The swap deal between Inter and Roma involving Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola could still yet take place according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The deal looked dead in the water just hours ago after Inter tried to change the terms of the agreement reached at the last minute, a move that seriously angered Roma.

Both players underwent medicals yesterday with their prospective new employers and passed but due to Spinazzola’s injury history, Inter were keen to conduct some further testing just to be on the safe side.

They asked Roma to be allowed to conduct these extra tests but Roma denied their requests which is when Inter tried to change the formula much to the annoyance of Roma who were completely against the idea.

However, Sport Mediaset are now reporting that Inter, specifically CEO Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta, could get his way and complete the exchange on a loan with option to buy basis which would become an obligation to buy after a certain number of matches played.
