Marcelo Brozovic’s condition will be examined by Inter’s medical staff today to determine the extent of the injury he sustained during yesterday’s 1-1 draw away to Lecce according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Croatian international midfielder took a knock to his ankle and had to come off in the final 10 minutes of the match at the Stadio Via del Mare as a result.

He left the stadium post-match on crutches and Inter medical staff hope that they can completely rule out any serious injuries or fractures when doing their tests.

Brozovic has been near ever present for Inter this season and is one of the most important players in the team. The 27-year-old has appeared in 26 of Inter’s 27 games to date this season.

In 2292 minutes on the field, the former Dinamo Zagreb man has scored two goals and provided five assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.
