Inter hope to avoid making a capital loss when transferring Valentino Lazaro according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
The Austrian defender only joined Inter in a €21.5 million plus bonuses deal last Summer from Hertha Berlin but looks set to leave the club between now and the end of this transfer window.
Premier League club Newcastle United are very keen on signing the 23-year-old and are the club seemingly leading the race to sign him.
As per the report, they are willing to pay Inter €2 million to take him on loan for the remainder of the season. As part of the loan, they want an option to buy set at €20 million.
If he joins Newcastle and they then go on to sign him up on a permanent basis on the above terms, Inter will stand to make a minimal capital gain on him rather than a loss.
