Inter central midfielder Marcelo Brozovic’s condition will be examined today after he took a blow to his ankle during Sunday’s 1-1 draw away to Lecce according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Croatian international sustained the injury and was forced off the field as a result and even left the Stadio Via del Mare on crutches after the game.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to detail that it cannot be ruled out that the 27-year-old may in fact be available for this weekend’s match at home to Cagliari.

Brozovic has played in all barring one of Inter’s 27 games across all competitions this season and is an integral part of the team.

In 2292 minutes on the park, the former Dinamo Zagreb player, who is under contract with Inter until 2022, has scored two goals and provided five assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.
