Inter are waiting for Flamengo to make them a fresh offer for striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

The two clubs had struck an agreement in principle over the 23-year-old’s transfer a few months back but given what Gabigol has done since, Inter have upped their asking price to €20 million with them also wanting a clause entitling them to 20% of a future sale attached.

Flamengo have just sold teen sensation Reinier to Real Madrid for a sum of €24 million, therefore the Rio de Janeiro based club should be able to up their offer to meet Inter’s demands and finally get a deal done for former Santos player Gabigol.

Gabigol spent the entirety of 2019 out on loan with Flamengo and wrote himself into the club’s history books as he helped them win the league title and Copa Libertadores with 43 goals in 58 appearances across all competitions.
