Inter are willing to give up more of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa’s registration rights as part of his transfer to Flamengo according to a report from Brazilian news outlet UOL Esporte.
The clubs had agreed a €16 million fee for 80% of the striker’s registration rights a few months back a deal that would have seen Inter pocket 20% of any future sale due to owning the remainder of his rights.
However, Inter could be willing to give Flamengo 90-95% of Gabigol’s rights as they look to get more money in immediately through Gabigol’s sale to help them in their pursuit of Christian Eriksen.
The report states that in the event Inter sell 90% of his rights, they would be looking for Flamengo to cough up a sum of €18 million for the 23-year-old.
Gabigol spent 2019 out on loan at the Rio de Janeiro based club. In 58 appearances across all competitions, the former Santos forward scored 43 goals and also provided 13 assists for teammates.
