Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa is closing in on a permanent switch to Flamengo according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 23-year-old striker spent last year out on loan with the Rio de Janeiro based club, who have been hard at work for some time now trying to sign him up on a permanent basis.
Flamengo and Inter had reached a deal in principle a few months back but Inter have since raised their demands for the player given what he achieved after that deal had been agreed on.
As per the report from the Milan based newspaper, Gabigol should leave Inter for a sum of €18 million and Inter will have a clause which will give them 20% of any future sale.
The Brazilian, who joined Inter for around €30 million back in 2016, played 58 times across all times for Flamengo last year and scored no less than 43 goals and provided 13 assists in the process.
