Inter will make a slight profit in the event that Newcastle United take up their option to buy Valentino Lazaro according to a report in today’s print edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Lazaro is in Newcastle today to have his medical and his loan with option to buy transfer could be finalised by the end of today.
If Newcastle take up their option, Inter will pocket a total of €25 million from the deal overall, including the loan fee that the Magpies will pay them.
Inter spent a sum of €24.5 million including bonuses to bring the Austrian international defender to the club this past Summer from Hertha Berlin and due to amortisation, the club will stand to make a profit of a few million.
The 23-year-old has been limited to just 11 appearances across all competitions for Inter this season. In 513 minutes on the park, he has contributed two assists.
