The rumoured interest from Barcelona in Christian Eriksen is nothing more than Tottenham Hotspur trying to put pressure on Inter according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Following yet another meeting between the clubs yesterday, news broke that the reigning Spanish champions were now taking a look at the 27-year-old Danish international.

Spurs planted this news in a bid to get more money from Inter upfront for Eriksen, who they have already agreed a €15 million plus €5 million in bonuses deal for. Spurs hoped by planting the news that it would make Inter panic and cough up €20 million upfront.

Inter remained calm however and will not be changing the offer that they have already had accepted by the Premier League outfit.

The report goes on to conclude that in the next few hours, Inter will have Eriksen.

This season Eriksen has made 28 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored three goals and provided as many assists.
