Daniele Doveri has been named as the referee for Inter’s upcoming Coppa Italia quarter final clash with Fiorentina on Wednesday night.
The 42-year-old official has refereed 13 matches across all competitions to date this season and Wednesday’s match will be the third time he referees a match involving each side.
He refereed Inter’s matches away to AC Milan and Napoli, which the Nerazzurri won 2-0 and 3-1 respectively. He refereed Fiorentina’s matches at home to Fiorentina and SPAL which finished as 2-1 and 1-0 wins respectively for La Viola.
In his 13 games refereed to date, Doveri has brandished a yellow card on no less than 51 occasions and handed out a single red card.
He will be assisted by Stefano Del Giovane and Emanuele Prenna at San Siro and the fourth official for the match will be Federico La Penna.
Paolo Mazzoleni will be in charge of VAR and will have Alessandro Lo Cicero alongside to assist him.
