Inter will not submit an appeal against the Lega Serie A sports judge’s decision to ban Lautaro Martinez for two matches according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.
The 22-year-old Argentine international was sent off at the end of Sunday afternoon’s Serie A match against Cagliari at San Siro, which ended 1-1.
The striker was booked in the final minutes of the match and reacted angrily afterwards, with the sports judge’s report stating that Martinez shouted inappropriate phrases at referee Gianluca Manganiello in Spanish, and this earned him a second yellow and then red card.
Lautaro, who joined Inter in the Summer of 2018 from Argentine side Racing Club, will miss Inter’s upcoming matches away to Udinese this weekend and then the Milan Derby at home the following weekend.
This season Lautaro has made 26 appearances across all competitions. In 2013 minutes on the field, he has scored 16 goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
