Tottenham Hotspur and Belgium international centre back Toby Alderweireld has taken to social media platform Twitter to bid farewell to now former teammate Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen has departed Spurs after six and a half seasons and completed a move to Inter on a four and a half year contract on Tuesday afternoon for a reported €20 million.

Alderweireld, who was also a teammate of Eriksen’s when the pair of them were at Dutch giants Ajax, also wished Eriksen well in his new adventure.

“We have shared so many special memories together at Spurs that I will always cherish. Good luck for the next chapter my friend,” he posted.
