In an interview with Italian radio station Radio Sportiva earlier on today, Italian football journalist Sandro Sabatini has shared his thoughts and feelings on Christian Eriksen’s arrival at Inter.

The 27-year-old Danish international completed a much anticipated move to Inter earlier on this week from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth a reported €20 million.

The former Ajax attacking midfielder has signed a four and a half year contract with the Nerazzurri and made his debut for the team last night as he came off the substitutes bench for the final 25 minutes of the 2-1 win over Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia quarter finals.

Sabatini firstly spoke on Eriksen’s arrival and where he thinks he could be played.

“Eriksen is a great midfielder, Conte can use him as a quality mezzala or playmaker behind the strikers.”

He then proceeded to discuss what he sees to be a weakness in this Inter team.

“For me, the three man defence is a limitation for Inter.”

He concluded the interview by speaking on Inter manager Antonio Conte and what he needs to do.

“The club owners have helped him out a lot and he needs to pay them back.”
