Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed moments ago during his press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League match with Leciester City tomorrow afternoon that Olivier Giroud will not be leaving the club.

The 33-year-old Frenchman has drawn strong links to a host of clubs in recent weeks including Inter, Lazio and Tottenham Hotspur but Lampard has confirmed that he is staying put for the time being.

As per various reports in the media, Inter had agreed personal terms with the former Arsenal striker, whose contract with Chelsea is due to expire at the end of this season, a few weeks back and it now remains to be seen if Inter might go back in for him this Summer.

“He has been incredible as a player and a man during this time. Will he leave? No,” Lampard told the gathered media.

Lampard also rubbished reports in the media that Giroud skipped training today in a bid to try and force a move away from the club, who he has played for since January 2018, by simply stating: “He trained today.”
