Antonio Conte has clear ideas about how he is going to utilise latest recruit Christian Eriksen according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
27-year-old Eriksen completed his much anticipated switch to Inter from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur earlier on this week and has signed a four and a half year contract with the Nerazzurri.
As per the report, Conte intends to deploy the former Ajax player on the left hand side of the midfield trident in the 3-5-2 and has plenty options tactically with thanks to Eriksen’s versatility with him being more than capable of playing as a mezzala, an attacking midfielder or a regista.
Eriksen made his first appearance for the club in Wednesday night’s 2-1 Coppa Italia quarter final win over Fiorentina at San Siro.
As per many reports in the media, Eriksen will be handed his first start following his move in this weekend’s Serie A match away to Udinese.
