Olivier Giroud has skipped Chelsea training today as he looks to force a move away from the club before tonight’s transfer deadline according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Frenchman has drawn interest from a whole array of clubs in recent weeks but Chelsea are reluctant to let him go until they find a replacement.

Giroud does not wish to wait around though because he knows he must leave the club and play regularly if he is to stand a chance at making France’s squad for this Summer’s European Championship’s.

The 33-year-old has drawn links to Inter, Lazio and Tottenham Hotspur in particular as of late and with him having skipped training, it remains to be seen if this will be enough to get a move elsewhere sorted.

Former Arsenal striker Giroud has been limited to just seven appearances across all competitions to date this season due to the emergence of several young talents at Chelsea. In his 282 minutes on the field, he has scored one goal.
