Juventus have been working on a deal to sign Sandro Tonali from Brescia for a number of weeks now according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
A deal is unlikely to be concluded by tonight’s transfer deadline but Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici will continue to work on the deal between now and the transfer window opening again in the Summer.
Brescia continue to be reluctant to deal the young midfielder away and are hopeful that multiple clubs will fight it out for him and ultimately drive his price up, something Juventus are very keen to avoid.
Inter are also long term admirers of the 19-year-old and whilst currently focused on other targets, they are keen to ensure that they do not miss out on Tonali, like they did with Dejan Kulusevski, who Juventus beat them to.
This season Tonali has made 21 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and tallied four assists.
