The strengthening of Italian midfielder Antonio Candreva under coach Antonio Conte continues, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews.
The report details how the 32-year-old Italian, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2021, scored the opening goal against Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia earlier this week. Along with the goal, Candreva continued to impress with his strong passing and intelligent movements. The player has improved dramatically under Conte this season and has scored all four of his goals this season at home in the San Siro.
Candreva has made 23 appearances across all competitions for Conte’s Inter so far this season, for a total of 1575 minutes. In that time, he has scored four goals and provided five assists, impressing regularly under the guidance of the Italian. Last season Candreva struggled under Luciano Spalletti, scoring only three goals and providing three assists in 29 appearances for the Milanese club across all competitions.
