There will be 60,000 fans in attendance at San Siro tonight to watch the first leg of Inter and Napoli’s Coppa Italia semi final according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to add that around 10,000 fans have already snapped up tickets for this weekend’s match away to Lazio.
With ticket sales going well, there is a possibility that the 12,000 fans who travelled to the Stadio Olimpico on the final day of the 2017/18 season, in what was a Champions League qualification decider between the two clubs, could well be eclipsed.
This time round however, the match result could prove decisive in the race for the Serie A title. Inter currently sit top of the table with 54 points whilst Lazio are in third place in the table with 53 points to their name with both sides having played 23 of 38 games..
