Photo – Inter Would Be In 2nd Place If They Matched Their xG Mark

Sports data and analytics company Opta have taken a look at how the Serie A table would look today if all teams matched their expected goals (xG) tally.

Atalanta, who are currently in fourth place, would be 14 points better off and would be sitting top of the table with 59 points clear.

The Bergamo based club would be nine points better off than second place Inter, who, if they had matched their xG tally, would in fact be four points worse off but a position better off.
