Christian Eriksen’s performance in tonight’s Europa League round of 32 second leg match against Ludogorets will largely determine whether or not he will be among the starters in this weekend’s Derby D’Italia away to Juventus according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
The recently turned 28-year-old Danish national team midfielder is set to make his first start at San Siro since his January transfer window arrival from Tottenham Hotspur tonight.
However, there will not be any fans in the ground to witness it due to the fact the match is to be played behind closed doors as a result of restrictions in place due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Eriksen has not entirely gotten to grips with new manager Antonio Conte’s ways yet but a good performance tonight, coupled with the fact he would not be fazed by playing in a big match such as the one against Juventus, could see Conte forget about what Eriksen still has to improve upon and start him against the Bianconeri.
